Oceangate Funding Group, a small-business funding broker in Ogden, Utah, matches four sectors to funding structures: construction, restaurants, medical and dental practices, and retail. Weber County's 2023 Census counts show construction as the largest by employer establishments. Lending partners decide and set terms; the broker explains which structure suits each sector's cash cycle.
Retail and wholesale
Weber County had 731 retail trade employer establishments with 12,380 paid employees and 254 wholesale establishments with 5,077 in 2023 (U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023), plus 1,653 retail businesses with no paid employees in 2024 (U.S. Census Bureau, Nonemployer Statistics 2024). The central funding question for both is how quickly stock turns into cash, which is why most requests end up at inventory financing or a credit line. A dedicated retail page is planned.
Sectors we do not arrange funding for
We do not arrange agricultural or trucking financing, and we do not arrange personal, mortgage or SBA loans. Manufacturing has the largest payroll in Weber County, $953.1 million in 2023 (U.S. Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023), but it is not one of the sectors our partners have confirmed, so we do not claim to serve it. Local business figures for every sector are on our Ogden, UT page.
